Vintage Silver Plated Pedestal Display Basket With Swing Handle

A vintage silver plated display basket fitted with a very solid scroll style swing handle and a pedestal base. The item has a ruffled rim and is decorated around the verge with pierced gothic patterning and a fluted sunburst pattern within the well.

The basket is impressed underneath EPNS. .

Although the basket has lost almost all the silver plating on the inside and rim, revealing the brass underneath, the basket has loads of character and is still in very good usable condition. The item also requires a good polishing.
