Vintage Cast Brass Trinket Box With Fine Porcelain Capodimonte Style Floral Lid

A vintage trinket box manufactured from cast brass and decorated in embossed Rococo scroll motifs around the sides with 4 out-swept paws underneath. The hinged lid of the trinket box has been adorned with a fine porcelain attachment designed in the Capodimonte style with golden yellow, red, pink and purple rose display. The inner surface of the box is lined in thin red felt.

The trinket box is not marked or stamped.

The porcelain floral decor has some minor chips and the box has age related wear on the outer surface. The hinge on the lid has also been damaged, but has been repaired somewhat with a very thin wiring.
