The Story

Anchor Hocking was established as Hocking Glass Company in 1905 by Isaac J. Collins in Ohio. The company was named after the Hocking River near which it was located. The company proceeded to purchase at least 5 other American glass companies and in 1934 the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation came into being. In 1969 the word “glass” was removed from the company name. The company was sold to Global Home Products in 2001 and by 2006 the firm was sold to Monomoy Capital Partners, a New York based private equity firm.

The item is a very versatile rectangular casserole dish in peach lustre on the outside but white on the inside, handles and rim as well as underneath.

In very good vintage condition.
