The Story

Wade Ceramics Ltd is a manufacturer of porcelain and earthenware, headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Its products include animal figures for its Collectors Club, whisky flagons, and a variety of industrial ceramics. The company was originally founded in 1810 as a producer of ceramic items for industry. Version 2 of the Bramble pattern was only manufactured by Wade between 1948 and 1953 when it was permanently discontinued.

The item is a beautiful (larger than usual creamer / milk jug) manufactured by Wade and decorated in version 2 of their Bramble pattern which displays embossed purple and red berries with green leaves on a dark brown branch against a raised pebbled surface. The handle of the jug has been designed to resemble a branch with purple berries beneath it.

The jug is stamped underneath Wade Bramble England.

This jug is in very good vintage condition with no damages noted.

Height: 14.4 cm, Diameter of base: 6.8 cm, Diameter of body: 10.5 cm, Diameter of rim: 7 cm, Spout to handle: 13.5 cm
