Set of 8 Mid-Century Mordern (MCM) Ceramic Egg Cups

The items are mid-century modern (MCM) ceramic egg cups and attached underplates/saucers in vibrant, glossy glazes. Their design is characterized by flowing, organic, and abstract shapes, typical of vintage "atomic" or retro styles.

Each cup consists of a small, footed cup with an organic base, which is attached onto a matching, larger triangular saucer or underplate. The saucers have rounded corners and subtle indentations to secure the cups. The collection features several distinct colours, including turquoise/teal, warm yellow, rust/orange, and a deep magenta/berry hue.

The items are made of ceramic with a glossy finish. Their specific shape, especially the footed cup design, is highly characteristic of MCM-style egg cups, often used for serving soft-boiled eggs.

The cups are in vintage, well-used condition and three of the egg cups have chips or have lost some glaze (please see picture).
