Antique Late 1800’s Victorian Era Tea Pot With Black Bakelite Handle & Lid Finial – EPBM 8082

This particular design in silver plated tea pots has been used by Walker & Hall, Matthew Boulton as well as Dixon and a variety of silver plate manufacturers in England from around the early to late 1800’s and is therefore sometimes referred to as either Georgian or Victorian in design.

This item is a reasonably large silver plated tea pot designed with a faceted gooseneck spout, a fluted portion along the shoulder and standing on a short graduated base. Black Bakelite has been used to create an ornate c-scroll handle while a domed and hinged lid is fitted with a black Bakelite finial.

The item is stamped underneath EPBM 8082 Made in England (EPBM = Electro Plated Brittania Metal)

Besides requiring a polish and with a few nicks and dents here and there, the item is still in very good condition considering the age.
