The Story

Royal Stafford China brand name has had many owners since it was first used by Thomas Poole c1900. but the production of fine bone china continued through  to 1992 and is to this day still recognised in all corners of the globe for its commitment to enduring quality and beauty.

The item is a tea plate and matching saucer decorated in the Royal Stafford pattern 8171, which depicts dainty hand painted pansy flowers and other small flowers on a crisp white background. The tea plate is squared. Both the items are scalloped with 22kt gold trim on rims and verges.

The items are stamped underneath Royal Stafford Bone China Made in England.

Aside from slight rubbing of the gold trim both items are in good vintage condition.

Saucer height of rim: 2 cm, Diameter of base: 6.5 cm, Diameter of rim: 13.6 cm

Tea plate height of rim: 1.8 cm, Diameter of base: 9.5 cm, Across rim: 15.8 cm x 15.8 cm
