Designed and released under the Royal Petal range with Marlborough shape, a porcelain 250g lidded butter dish manufactured by Grindley between 1940 and 1959 when this particular pattern was discontinued. The butter dish tray has a mildly scalloped rim and is decorated with colourful Kingfisher birds and floral patterning. The butter dish has a beautiful rectangular lid finial. This is a rare pattern by Grindley which is seldom encountered.
The item is stamped underneath Marlborough Royal Petal Grindley England.
The butter dish is in very good condition and there are no damages noted.
