The Story

A very pretty and rare pattern designed and manufactured by W.H. Grindley & Co., Tunstall as part of their Creampetal range between 1936 and 1954. This saucer is decorated in Grindley’s Devonshire Rose pattern, which was discontinued in the 1950’s. The pattern displays a predominant Devonshire rose in a deep pink among a yellow, blue and green floral variety with demi-lune shaped blue trim along the verges and double blue trim towards the centre. The saucer has a scalloped rim and gold trim.

Stamped underneath Creampetal, Grindley, England.

Slight fading is occurring on the gold trim of the rim, aside from this the item is in very good condition.

Saucer height of rim: 2.2 cm Diameter of base: 4.6 cm, Diameter of rim: 14.8 cm
